What Can Massage Help With?
Massage therapy isn’t a magic fix, but it can be a really valuable tool in helping your body feel and function better. Here are some of the things it can support you with:
Muscle tension and stiffness – whether from work, stress, or just life in general
Chronic pain – including conditions like fibromyalgia, TMJ dysfunction, and arthritis
Injury recovery – sprains, strains, overuse injuries, and post-surgical healing (with clearance)
Headaches and migraines – especially tension-type or those triggered by muscle tightness
Low back pain, neck pain, and shoulder issues – some of the most common reasons people come in
Stress and anxiety – massage can help calm the nervous system and promote deep relaxation
Sleep issues – by helping your body shift out of "go-go-go" mode and into rest
Scar tissue and fascial restrictions – supporting tissue mobility and healing
Sports performance and recovery – helping muscles recover faster and function better
Pregnancy-related discomfort – including low back pain, swelling, and general tension
Circulation and lymphatic flow – gentle techniques can help support your body’s natural processes
And sometimes, massage is simply about taking time for yourself—something that can be just as therapeutic as anything else on this list.
Do you Direct Bill?
I provide direct billing to most insurance providers. However any amount not covered by your provider will be your responsibility to pay at the time of your appointment. Please come prepared with an alternative payment option, should your provider not cover the entirety of your treatment cost. For any remaining balance, I accept cash, e-transfer or I can charge the credit card you have on file.
Do you accept ICBC or WCB cases?
I do not accept ICBC or WCB cases at this time.
For clients with an open WCB cases, I can still provide you with massage, but the treatment can not address the site of injury. ie: if you hurt your knee at work, I can not work on your knee, but I can give you a neck and back massage.
For clients with open ICBC cases, you am unable to treat you in any capacity until your case has closed.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
I require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows me enough time to offer the spot to someone else who may be waiting for care.
If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the following fees will apply:
First missed or late-cancelled appointment: 50% of the treatment cost
All subsequent missed or late-cancelled appointments: 100% of the treatment cost
Please note that appointments not attended cannot be billed to your insurance provider. Any cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card saved on file.
